Resolved: That Russia has become a threat to U.S. interests.

Foreword: The evolving relationship between the United States and Russia in the wake of the Soviet Union’s dissolution has been a combination of cooperation and tension. Currently Russia has been asserting its influence to restore a semblance of a balance of power between the Eastern and Western worlds. As you will realize, that influence at times coincides with US interests and at times, it does not. US Russian relations is a large topic area. Examples of provocative Russian foreign policies on the Pro are balanced by examples of bilateral initiatives on the Con.
